Custom Leather Jackets
Insurrection specializes in creating one-of-a-kind custom leather jackets and vests for both men and women. Unlike the vast majority of other custom motorcycle leather jacket designers and tailors, Insurrection draws most of its inspiration from vintage designs and fits. Insurrection Cycle Leathers, our house brand, is a combination of desirable elements from the long-deceased designs and fits of Buco, ABC, Bates, D. Lewis's Lewis Leathers and a number of lesser known Canadian motorcycle brands. While drawing on the past for design inspiration and fit, we have added some of the modern improvements that, most notably, Vanson and Aero have put forth. For example, all jacket and vest seams are top-stitched; nylon thread is used to improve the jacket or vest's strength and longevity; sleeve gussets are positioned on the outer arm seam and top-stitched; double-ended zippers (Lenzip) are used as main zippers; heavy satin fabrics are used for liners; lambskin is used for pocket welts to reduce bulk and enhance pocket aesthetics and softness; and heavier leathers (3.5 oz steerhide or 4.0 oz horsehide) are used to make each piece more durable as well as a piece of wearable art.
